Or watch the things you gave your life to broken, And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
Kipling
As many of you know, the last five years have been very challenging (
to say the least) for our family. We are, however, starting to see glimmers of
light at the end of what has been a very dark, long tunnel. The most positive significant
outcome to all that we have endured, has been to witness the courage,
dependability and support the boys have shown throughout.
They have been and continue
to be, a constant source of encouragement and reassurance and inspiration.
They have become gentlemen. I
know, we do not use that term very often anymore but I came across this blog that defines the 10 qualities of a gentleman.
1. Selflessness
2. Genuine
3. Honest
4.
Steadfast
5.
Self-Control
6. Confident
7. Well Put-Together
8.
Healthy -
Although they still love and consume too much junk food.
9.
Talented and Skilled
10. Aware
The boys possess all of the 10 qualities, and some like numbers 1,2,and 3 in abundance.
They are, without a doubt, gentlemen.
